Mission Statement

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.  It does this through services that are consistent with its congressional charter and the fundamental principles of the international Red Cross movement.

Services Provided

•  Disaster Services – Volunteer training, community preparedness and disaster response.

• Health & Safety Courses – First Aid, CPR, AED, Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Learn-to-Swim Program, Babysitter’s Training, Sport Safety Training and Pet First Aid.

• Blood – Recruit donors and conduct blood drives.

• Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES) – Help families communicate with a service member in an emergency.

The American Red Cross is not a government agency.  The local chapter relies on the assistance of caring supporters to deliver critical services.  It’s the gifts of time and money from the American people that allow the Red Cross to continue providing services and programs that meet the needs of our community.  All donations made to the American Red Cross Calloway County Chapter are tax deductible.
