unconditional love of pets to residents of nursing homes, hospitals and
senior centers, brightening the day for those who are no longer able to
have their own pets.
-
PetSafe –
This collaborative outreach program helps combat domestic violence and
animal abuse. PetSafe cares for pets of persons in crisis, particularly
women and children who are victims of domestic violence. PetSafe provides
the pet temporary shelter in a secure location free of charge while the
person seeks help for herself and her children typically at the
Merryman
House Domestic Crisis Center or other housing that cannot accept cats or dogs.
