Mission Statement

The Gentry House has a philosophy and a staff dedicated to the proposition that all homeless persons are deserving of and shall be provided with the resources to enable them to become proficient and respectful of self, in a life-style free of worry and worthy of mankind.

  • Emergency, temporary shelter to families with children
  • Referrals to appropriate agencies
  • Counseling
  • Assistance with job search
  • Information on housing
The length of stay at the Gentry House is 30 days with exceptions made for persons who are employed and must save enough money for housing deposits. Maximum stay is 60 days.

Groundbreaking will soon be held for a new 4-apartment complex. The funds for this were secured from a grant generated from unclaimed lottery winnings.
