Purchase Area Asset Building Coaltion

The Purchase Area Building Coaltion (PAABC) is a collection of regional community partners who have come together to bring free financial education and tax preparation assistance to low and moderate income residents of the Purchase Area.

Three areas of focus provide three areas of service to our community:

1. To promote and provide access to community-wide financial education programs.

2. To create Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Sites to process free tax returns and to promote the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

3. To help community members start building wealth through Individual Development Accounts (IDA). An IDA is a matched savings account that rewards income eligible families for monthly savings as they work towards financial goals such as buying a home, paying for education, or stating small businesses.
